Remittances and due dates

Last updated October 14, 2026 (due dates checked against the CRA)

At a glance

  • You remit the income tax, CPP and EI you withheld, plus your employer share of CPP and EI.
  • The CRA decides how often you remit based on your average monthly withholding.
  • PayCub totals the amount for each period. You pay it yourself through your bank or CRA My Business Account.

What you remit

Each period you send the CRA the income tax, CPP, CPP2 and EI you deducted from employees, plus your employer share of CPP, CPP2 and EI. PayCub's remittance report shows the total for the period so there's nothing to add up by hand. PayCub does not remit on your behalf.

Remitter types and due dates

The CRA assigns your remitter type. Use whichever one the CRA has you on.

Remittance schedules in PayCub

Set your remittance schedule in company settings. PayCub supports:

  • Monthly for CRA regular remitters.
  • Quarterly for new small and small employers.
  • Biweekly (twice a month) for accelerated threshold 1. The remittance report splits the month into the 1st to 15th and the 16th to month-end, with the 25th and 10th due dates.

Accelerated threshold 2 (four remittances a month) isn't supported. Contact us if the CRA has you on it.

Not sure which type you are? Check CRA My Business Account or the remittance vouchers the CRA sends you. You can always remit more often than required, but your remitter type stays the same.
