Multiple companies and billing

Last updated October 2026

At a glance

  • One PayCub account can hold as many companies as you need, each with its own employees and history.
  • You're billed per active employee, not per company.
  • Give a departing employee an end date and they stop counting toward your bill, with their history kept.

Several companies, one login

Each company has its own employees, pay schedule, province and payroll history, kept fully separate. You manage them all from one login, with no separate subscriptions. To add, rename or switch companies, go to Home → Bookkeepers.

This works the same whether you own more than one business or you're a bookkeeper running payroll for clients. Bookkeepers can read more in how bookkeepers use PayCub.

Active employees and billing

Your bill reflects the people you're running payroll for now, not everyone you've ever employed.

When someone leaves, you don't need to delete them. Add an End Date on their employee profile. They become inactive: their pay history and tax records stay available for T4s and Records of Employment, but they no longer count toward your active employees.

Still being charged for someone who left? Usually they don't have an end date yet. Add one and the change applies going forward. If you were billed after their actual end date, email us and we'll take a look.

Cancelling

You can cancel any time from Home → My Subscription → Manage Subscription, or by emailing [email protected]. Your payroll history and employee records stay available until the end of your current billing period.
